Becoming a sales leader is everything but easy. Every step of the sales process needs to be planned thoroughly and executed the right way. But, what is the "right way"? While there are some old school sales tactics that might have worked in the past, they just don't work for today's buyers. In this article we'll review the "right" and "wrong" sales tactics, and what's working today.

One of the first myths and oldest misconceptions is that sales reps need to be pushy and talk only about their product or service. Sales reps today are being taught to let the customer do the talking and focus on listening and understanding their problems and needs to provide them with a better solutions. Why try to sell a fix, when you can listen and ask the right questions to hear the very problems a client has, and how you can fix them.
